Lime plaster is a traditional building material made from sand, water, and lime—typically non-hydraulic fat lime (slaked or high calcium lime). Historically, horsehair reinforced the mix, while pozzolan accelerated setting. Lime plaster cures naturally by absorbing atmospheric CO₂, making it a carbon-neutral solution for historic preservation and modern eco-buildings.
